Final Color Scheme

Color plays a huge part in creating an appealing website. It’s able to express messages and generate certain emotions in the viewer. CDTK Creatives drew inspiration from different websites’ color schemes to create this final color palette consisting of earthy, muted greens, shades of white, and a dark terracotta color. The darker hues of green were chosen because it represents stability and has calming attributes. The site gives a down-to-earth feel while having a sense of professionalism. The inclusion of the dark orange terracotta is used as an accent color to add contrast to the site. Warm, orange colors are able to represent enthusiasm and creativity while also being inviting.

The two fonts used in the site are Museo and Georgia. Museo is an easy to read sans serif font suitable for headers. Georgia is used in the large body copies of texts because it is a serif font, it is suited for larger copies as serif fonts are known for being easier to read. The image on the home page was chosen to match the color scheme of the site. It also is fitting because the brainstorming process typically begins with a blank piece of paper or screen. As a group of Creative Advertising students, CDTK Creatives are expected to use their imagination and abilities to produce the work shown in this portfolio.
